On June 15, Pittsburgh-based Astrobotic officially unveiled its next-generation lunar lander Griffin-1. Selected by NASA for the Moon Base II mission, the lander is scheduled to launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket in late 2026. CEO John Thornton described it as the first infrastructure-class lander to reach the lunar surface.
