H3 (rocket)

The H3 rocket is a disposable medium‑lift launch vehicle developed by Japan. It uses a two‑stage core design powered by liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen, and can be equipped with solid rocket boosters. Launched from the Tanegashima Space Center, it is designed, manufactured and operated by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and JAXA.It has a minimum payload capacity of no more than 4,000 kg to sun‑synchronous orbit and over 6,500 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. The H3‑24 variant can carry more than 6,000 kg to trans‑lunar injection and 8,800 kg to geostationary transfer orbit, with an early price of about 5 billion yen.
